Below are quick tips on best practices for working with Spreeflo.
Spree will try to prepare new jobs on a daily basis. Many of these jobs will have an expiration date, e.g. discount code emails have an expiration date decided by the "discount duration" in order to instil a sense of urgency with the target customer.
Take action on pending jobs promptly to make the most impact out of each job.
Marketing campaigns start with the customer segments that you create on your Shopify Store. These segments affect the narrative for each email copy that Spree prepares, e.g. Spree will actively discover which checkout items were abandoned for a given customer in the "Abandoned Checkout" segment to persuade the customer to come back to the
With defining more customer segments, the more unique variety of marketing emails will be prepared for your customers. Variety brings more freshness for each marketing email which leads to more engagement.
All email correspondence uses the logo and brand colors specified for your Shopify store. This maintains brand consistency with your customers.
You can specify brand colors via Shopify -> General -> Brand assets (Manage).
Spree is careful never to send marketing emails too often to your customers. By default, Spree will wait at least 7 days since last correspondence was sent to a given customer before preparing new correspondence to send to them again.
If you want to engage with your customers more or less aggressively, you can change the "Grace Period (days)" in Spreeflo Settings.
Spree will by default create discount codes for 15% off to attract customers to return. You can change the discount percentage in Spreeflo Settings.
If a job for a customer is currently pending but not expired, Spree will not prepare any more jobs for that given customer. This is to prevent Spree from accidentally preparing multiple marketing emails for different campaigns at the same time.
Therefore the longer the discount duration, the less often/aggressive Spree will market.
A shorter discount duration applies greater sense of urgency for the customer to take action.
If you are always satisfied with the quality of marketing campaigns that Spree prepares for review, you may consider enabling "Take the wheel" mode in Spreeflo Settings. This will enable Spree to immediately dispatch marketing emails to your customers without your approval.
